Prof. Dr. Ö. Taşkın YÜCEL

He was born in Trabzon in 1966. He completed his primary education at Rize Kurtuluş Primary School, and his secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College between 1976-1983. After graduating from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1989, he received his specialist training at Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT) between 1989-1993. He completed his military service at Van Military Hospital between 1993-1995. He then started working at Hacettepe University ENT Department in 1995, became Assistant Professor in 1998 and Associate Professor in 2000. In 2002, he worked for 4 months at the ENT Department of Michigan University in the USA, particularly on the subjects of “nose and sinus diseases” and “nose and facial aesthetic surgery”. Dr. Ömer Taşkın YÜCEL, who was appointed as a professor in 2006, continues his duty at Hacettepe ENT Department. In addition, he sees his patients in his private clinic. In recent years, Prof. Dr. Ö. Taşkın YÜCEL, who has been working on “Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery”, which has developed especially with the joint studies of the Neurosurgery and ENT Department, closely follows the latest developments in this field and performs endoscopic surgery of tumors located in the anterior skull base, pituitary and clivus region, and nasopharynx and paranasal sinus region, working together with neurosurgery. Prof. Dr. Ö. Taşkın YÜCEL, who has been an invited speaker at many meetings in Turkey and abroad, provides services in all aspects of Ear, Nose and Throat diseases, and is mainly interested in nose (aesthetic and functional), facial aesthetics and rejuvenation, sinus problems and surgery, snoring and pediatric tonsil-adenoid problems.
